Converting timeclock to hours/minute in excel

August 22, 2011 at 00:04:59
Specs: N/A
So timeclock is set weird I guess, says:
start: 8.8
lunch start: 12.1
lunch end: 12.6
end of day: 5.8

Now I was using the following formula:
=(J9-G9+(J9<G9))*24
and then (to subtract lunch):
=((J9-G9+(J9<G9))-(I9-H9+(I9<H9)))*24

Which was working great...then new timeclock and I can't get excel to understand it!
I hope my problem makes sense, cuz it's driving me crazy! Thanks :)

Maybe should have added that:
G=start time
H=lunch start
I=lunch end
J=end of day

Formula must contain a way to remove time for lunch :)

What do you mean by "timeclock" and "new timeclock"?

Where do the numbers 8.8, 12.1, etc. come from?
