Conditional Formatting with IF and AND formul

Microsoft Excel 2007

Specs: Windows XP
I have 2 date columns, one for due date and
one for actual end date. I'm trying to do a
conditional format to mark a due date in red if
it is <= today's date and the actual end date is
blank. I can not seem to put this IF and AND
statement together or find another way to do
this.

Example: Due Date - 1/20/2010 and Actual
End Date is blank so the Due Date would be in
red/bold.

If A1 is your Due Date and B1 is your End Date, try this:

=IF(AND($B$1="",$A$1<=TODAY()),TRUE,FALSE)
