Comparing two columns in excel

Specs: Windows XP
I have a problem, I need to compare data for two columns and a unique value is required. The Problem which I am getting is that I have to compare the data date wise in different months and time wise so the date and Month part is changing but the Time part is constant.

Time 25 May 2009 26 May 2009 27 May 2009 28 May 2009
00:00 173 203 233 788
01:00 222 111 545 898
02:00 121 133 121 131
03:00
04:00
.
.
.
23:00 111 133 122 111

I have 12 Months Tables like this of data, how can I take a unique value of 25th May 2009 at 01:00 from these tables?

You don't say where you are getting your lookup values from, so follow this example:

- I put your table in A1:E6
- I put 1:00 in G1
- I put 25 May 2009 in H1

=VLOOKUP(G1,$A$1:$E$6,MATCH(H1,$A$1:$E$1,1),0)

VLOOKUP will find the value in G1 and return the value from the Column determined by the MATCH function.
