Office 2007 has a Diagnostic feature, pretty sure 2010 has it also. To run a Diagnostic in 2007:
Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics from within Excel / Word
Click the Microsoft Office button
Click on the Excel / Word Options button to bring up the Options dialog box (at the bottom of window)
Click on the Resources button in the left hand pane
Click on the Diagnose button in the right hand pane
Click Continue
Click Run DiagnosticsRunning Microsoft Office Diagnostics from the Start Menu
Click on the Start button
Click All Programs
Click Microsoft Office folder
Click Microsoft Office Tools
Click Microsoft Office Diagnostics
Click Continue
Click Run DiagnosticsRun it and see if that gives any ideas.
Only other thing I would suggest is to update the printer drivers on the machine.
nope that didn't work... I will keep working on it,, there has to be a reason that its only on this 1 tablet
Have you looked here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329845
It is for 2002, but might give you some place to start looking.
What make and model printer is it? Did you expand the margins of your document beyond the limits that the printer can handle? Try creating a new document and just type a single sentence without modifying any of the formatting then try to print it. Did it work?
everything is at a default level, no margins changed.. hp printers variuos models mainly 4000 series, emails print fine, internet pages print fine... just word has issues, reimaged computer, reinstalled Office, tried different fonts, check diags, and its seems to be only on this one tablet from Lenovo x220i.. other same tablets with the same image work fine... something happened on this one but not sure what that might be.
Try running Word with no Add-Ins loaded: Click Start, and then click Run
In the run box type: Winword.exe /a
You may need the whole path.
After you get it loaded, type a single sentence without modifying any of the formatting then try to print it.
