Solved Barcode Scanning, highlight the values within excel.

Specs: Windows 10
Hi, I have a TNT manifest that I need to confirm shipped items.
I would like to scan the barcodes and permanently highlight, this way we can confirm the entire manifest.
The barcode is 28 digits long but I need to find the 15th to 24th digit within a spreadhseet.
Any suggestions please as it would help my team out massively.

Matching the 15th to 24th digits of 2 values in separate cells is a fairly simple task. However, I have no idea how Excel accepts input from a bar code scanner.

If you could explain how data from a bar code scanner gets read by Excel, I might be able to help with the "matching and highlighting" part of your goal.

OK, so apparently a bar code scanner can act just like a keyboard, placing the scanned bar code into the active cell.

Therefore, a Worksheet_Change macro that is focused on a specific cell, e.g. A1 should be able to take care of your highlighting needs. What I would need is some information about where the data to be highlighted is located. With some specifics related to your worksheet layout, I should be able to come up with some code that will work for you.

If you plan to post any example data, please click on the following link and read those instructions first. Thanks!
