Been typing a lot on Ms Word '07 recently, and a problem seems to have sprung up.

Occasionally, as I'm typing along, autocorrect will randomly capitalize words that shouldn't be capitalized. I've taken to disabling autocorrect and then running the spell check at the end of the document, but this is a little annoying.

Thoughts?

Try looking in the AutoCorrect Options to see if the capitalized version is stored there.

I don't have 2007, but in 2010 it's File...Options...Proofing...AutoCorrect Options

In the Replace field start typing one of the words that AutoCorrects to capitalized and see if it appears in the left hand column with it's capitalized version in the right hand column.

If it does, select it and click Delete.

Can you give a few examples of words that have been capitalized please?

If by any chance you have added new words to your dictionary in capitalized form then those words will appear the way they were saved (initial capital or whatever).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

found it: They were words that I had saved to autocorrect in the capitalized form.

Nevermind then!
