You can use a macro to achieve this.

So basically what you are asking is

if for example cell A1 had a transaction date within it, if I change any cell in row A the date in A1 will need to be updated with todays date?

Hi Hidden,

If I understand the question correctly, if Cell in same raw has been edited meaning that the date in the cell should only update IF something in the row has been edited.

With your solution the date will update each time the workbook is opened regardless of if a cell was edited or not.

A macro however can monitor a sheet or a cell and run a process depending on your requirements.
