Long shot in the dark, i am looking for a copy of ami pro 3.1 An elderly lady is in need of a new pc. all she has ever used is ami pro. she doesnt think she can learn a new system. i could load an earlier versin of windows for her, but no ami pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried eBay? Keep in mind, newer PCs have Hardware that will probably not be compatible with 98, and anything newer will be a learning curve for your friend. My advice, take some time to sit with her and help her learn the new system. She'll feel empowered. :)

I managed to get AmiPro working on a new Vista PC, by simply copying all the files in the C:\Amipro\ folder and all the c:\windows\AMI*.* files from an old PC where Amipro was installed. I then manually created a shortcut to Amipro.exe on the Start Menu and Desktop
I did this by installing the old disk in the new PC, but you can obviously copy to 2/3 floppy disks (if you have one on the new PC) or via a USB stick or some other method.
