Solved Add 2 additional criteria (customer name&location)

July 3, 2018 at 10:31:14
Specs: Windows 7, 8GB
The below formula allows me to pull in data based on a specific item number and column name. I need to add 2 more variable criteria that is located in the row records. The data pulled from a specific column name must also be for a specific customer and from a specific location.
Provided support is appreciated.

=INDEX(WM_CAN_EXP_FILE!$B:$ZZ,MATCH($A$9,WM_CAN_EXP_FILE!$B:$B,0),MATCH("Additional History 320",INDEX(WM_CAN_EXP_FILE!$B$2:$ZZ$2,0),0))

First, I'm a little confused.

Why are you using the INDEX function in the 2nd MATCH function to reference the lookup_array?

IOW, why this...

MATCH("Additional History 320",INDEX(WM_CAN_EXP_FILE!$B$2:$ZZ$2,0),0)

...instead of just this?

MATCH("Additional History 320",WM_CAN_EXP_FILE!$B$2:$ZZ$2,0)

Second, re: "The data pulled from a specific column name must also be for a specific customer and from a specific location"

Please keep in mind that we can't see your workbook from where we're sitting, so we have no idea what you mean by "specific customer and from a specific location". We don't know what those inputs look like or where they are located in your workbook.

Please provide some more detail so that we can understand how your data is laid out. If you need to post some example data, please click on the following How-To link and read the instructions found there.

Thanks!
