account login in domain shoul make attendance

Specs: Windows XP
Hi everyone,
I need a code which i can keep in start, so that whenver i login by my account the code shoul run... working of this code--> It should make the attendance i.e it should update in the excel sheet....

Code run---> Morning shift Mid shift Night shift
aaa 1
bbb 1
ccc 1

So here the excel sheet will be the output file on which it sohuld be updated.... aaa, bbb and ccc are the name of the employees.. so when they login by their personal account it shoul autpmatically update in that sheet respectively...

It ll be very helpfull and appreciated for the code.

I'm moving this to the Office forum (because that's what I do whenever I see the name Excel) but from a programmer's perspective, this is less than secure, which makes it less than legal. The fact that you expect something on the user side to modify a workbook for you means the user can modify the workbook for himself. ccc could hide him being 30 minutes late. bbb, who hates aaa, could erase aaa's logon records completely.

A better method would be to have some sort of server, where the server exposes a logon function, which writes to a secure database. Hell, that database might even be an Excel worksheet.

Thanks Razor..

But i m trying to do is, the script shoul automatically update the Xl sheet.. i want to put this code in startup files it shoul automatically run when the system is logged in i dont know if it works or never tried... no user will update the sheet manually...or if tou have any other approach please let me know.
