Access 2007 Cash Draw Firing

June 12, 2009 at 07:15:33
Specs: Windows XP
I am writing a point of sale program in Access 2007 and need to include a way of firing a cash draw from the program. As I haven't obtained the draw yet I have the choice of getting a serial or RJ11/RJ14 connecting one. I am not going to have a printer attached which I understand is the normal way to fire the cash draw so I need to write it into Access. Can anyone offer any help?

...and if you used cash drawer instead of cash draw.

At first I read "cash draw" to mean "how much cash is needed" i.e. "drawn out". I couldn't figure out how a communications protocol entered into that calculation.

DerbyDad Thank you for your comment but I was looking for help in the task I am trying to complete rather than an English lesson. You did as you explained understand the problem so my point must have been conveyed adequately. Can you help me with my issue?
