Hi, I am trying to run a macro from 2003 in Excel 2007 and it gives the following error:
Run Time Error 1004
Method 'AcceptLabelsInFormulas' '_Workbook' Failed

The line in the macro that it is referring to reads:
.AcceptLabelsInFormulas = True

Does anyone know what the line should be in Excel 2007?

I don't know if this is the only problem as it stops at this point. But it appears everything prior is ok and runs to this point.

A quick Google search reveals that the option to set

.AcceptLabelsInFormulas = True

has been removed from 2007.

2 reasons were given:

1 - seldom used
2 - prone to errors when column labels are moved, etc.

Apparently the "standard" workaround is to use Named Ranges instead.

Thanks. I didn't think google would be that exact, but I should have tried.

re: I didn't think google would be that exact

Well, it wasn't a single hit that returned the info I provided.

The issue has been discussed in various forums, blogs and on the MS Supoort site.

I simply condensed the info found after scanning a few of the hits.

Google doesn't always provide the direct answer to your questions, but it's really good at providing the path(s) to get you there.
