Specs: Windows 07
I have #s formatted in General but when other 2007 users open and close it changes those cells to date format. How do I stop that?

I am assuming that you have strings that look like Dates in the offending cells.

Put an apostrophe in front of the "dates" which should force them to be Text in everyone's workbook.

Someone found the answer for me. You have to change the setting for numbers in the "normal styles" set up.
