Good day. I was working on a theoretical solution to an issue I had last year at a camp I volunteer at. I have an older windows xp and one of the people that I work with has a Macintosh. The issue that we were having is that I have an older Lexmark printer that we were both using to print(at the time we were using a USB disk to move files, and then print from my setup)

I was curious if there was an easy way to network/adhoc the two together so that we could share files easily/she could print direct through my connection. I have limited experience with networking and less with the specifics on OS X. Is there a source that anyone would recommend? ( I have no problems learning/doing my own research) At this point I was looking for a jumping off point, or something I hadn't considered.

Macintosh OS X
Windows XP PRO
Lexmark z517

Thanks in advance

:: mike
