Specs: Windows XP
where to change version of windows I can not find where to change the version of my windows to make it compatible with my router..I know that there is a place to change it,but I can not find it...I have Windows XP and it is compatible with my wireless router...thanks....Frustrated

The router sends out a wireless signal. That signal can be picked up by any OS (Windows, Linux, etc) provided your computer/laptop has a wireless adapter, the drivers are installed, & it's setup properly. You have provided zero info about your computer or router - we need to know what you're working with.

details like how your pc is connected to the router are important.
In IE you set via tools/internet options/connection to lan is all you have to do to connected wired or wirelessly to the internet.

No idea where you got the idea that you can change your windows version somewhere.
I suspect you don't mean that. Your windows version is XP, other versions are Vista, Windows 7 etc.
