|From the sounds of it, there must be something wrong with your router.|
If it were me, I'd check for newer firmware for the router. If there is newer, I would first reset the router to factory defaults and thne I'd download and apply the newer firmare to the router. Then I'd reconfigure the router and see if it didn't work properly then.
