|I'm not sure if this is hardware, windoze, or wireless problem. Today it seems more like win7 but...|
I have a Lenovo t520 laptop with Win 7 that won't connect to my wireless router (Dlink di-624) at home. There are other devices including a desktop that runs win7 that connect successfully to this router. The router log indicates that the laptop connected. However windows indicates that it couldn't connect. The IBM access connection says the laptop couldn't authenticate -- even when I set the router to an open system. Normally I use 128 byte WEP key. Switching authentacation types didn't help. It seems that the wireless adapter in the hardware, win7, and the router are incompatible in some aspect. Laptop adapter settings are identical to the desktop that does connect - which points to a driver or win7 problems. BTW the laptop connects fine at work. suggestions on what to look at next are appreciated.
