Solved Will Opera stop Firefox from working ?

Specs: Windows 7, Pentium 4 2GHz / 4 gigs.
I'd like to try Opera for a browser but I get the impression that some of these alternative browsers will do that. What do you think about this and what might be better than Opera. Don't want to loose important things I've saved. Underlying problem: Firefox isn't saving pages correctly.

No browser should (at least theoretically) stop any other from working. Just make sure it doesn't try to become the "default" browser (but it still shouldn't keep others from working even if it is). Another option is to use the portable version from a flash drive:

As far as Firefox goes, are you using the latest build?

"will do that"
No it won't. I have had 40 browsers installed at one time.

That will depend on your skill level & wants.
I use Softpedia for all my downloads.
Here are all the browsers available.

Had opera installed together with other major browsers. No interaction between browser beside trying to be the default browser.
Opera is based on Chromium open source and is currently in Chinese hands. Mind the spyware that may come with it... (like most other browsers)

Didn't like Opera. I uninstalled it. Firefox: Yes I have the latest version (it says)
