Solved wifi repeatedly gets disconnected

Specs: windows 7,, 2GB
On my wifi LAN there are four computers. The problem is that when the last computer with config of dual core CPU E2140 @ 1.6Ghz with 2GB of RAM with 845 chipset and windows 7 ultimate was added, its connection has become unstable. The wifi of this system gets disconnected spontaneously every now and then. Then I have to reset the wifi adaptor of this system which is USB Marvell Topdog 802.11n WLAN client [from level one wireless]. At times the problem gets resolved by rebooting the modem router. What should I do to make the system wifi stable?

Try changing the wireless channel number in your router's web-based configuration utility. Best channel numbers are those at the high end, between 9 & 12

Just for extra info, before the number of channels increased above 11, for minimum overlap 1, 6 & 11 were favoured:

Is the computer further away from the router? Look at signal strength - sometimes a surprisingly small movement of the router can make a lot of difference.

This freebie Wifi channel scanner gives the channels used - avoid being on or near the same channel of a nearby strong signal.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
