Wifi error network may no longer be in range

Specs: Windows xp
wireless network shows up on my laptop but when i try to connect it says network may no longer be in range
i tried to delete the driver for the wireless nic but still no progress any suggestions

First look at the device manager. Are there any yellow or red marks next to network adapters?

There are no marks device managers says its working fine. I've alredy reinstalled the driver multiple times

Delete the connection and then when you are back in range, try joining the wireless network.

We were the unwilling, led by the unqualified, to do the unnecessary, for the ungrateful.
