Specs: Windows 7, intel(R)atom(TM)cpun270@1.60ghz 1.60 GHz installed ram 1gb
I Have an Acer Aspire z5g and it was working fine on the wifi, all of a sudden it quit. Not sure what happened. so I tried to restore from the last date it worked and it was taking forever....So I did the worst I guess...I made it power off. Now I can not use the wifi and when I troubleshoot it tells me this " there are currently no troubleshooting packs available for this category.

✔ Best Answer
Go to the Device Manager and look for a yellow or red warning mark for your wireless device. Right click on it and delete the device, then restart the machine and Windows will detect new hardware and reinstall it. If this does not work (it should), go to the Acer site on their support pages and download your wireless driver and install it. If it does not immediately work, repeat the delete device part above and restart so it will reinstall with the new driver this time.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Fingers, Thank you for your reply, I am sorry i did not respond prior to now. I opened the Acer Device manager and looked for the yellow or red warning mark as you suggested, When I opened it there are SEVERAL YELLOW WARNING MARKS...(this is my fiance's computer that I am trying to help fix, since I was the one that caused the final logon to the internet with my hard stop while it was updating for hours and hours and just turning in circles.) with all that said. There are yellow warning marks on several areas as i will list some of them now....Display adapters-(Intel (R) 946 GZ express chipset family.NEXT-Portable devices- ALL 5 Devices have yellow warnings. NEXT-Imaging devices- Lexmark X422.
NEXT-System devices-Remote Generic USB Device (redirected).

I have listed ALL yellow warning signs, but not sure where to start or what to do, do i uninstall each device or what? So scared of screwing it up worse,...PLEASE HELP IF ANYONE CAN.,...

Did you get your wireless working again?

Are you able to connect to the Internet with this computer? Either wirelessly or with a cable?

If this computer has Internet access it makes the job a little easier.

Start by going here, you can search by serial number or model number for your device. Once you get to the download page, you can download the drivers for those devices with the yellow exclamation marks and download the ones you need.

The Lexmark drivers should be on the disk that came with the device, otherwise you can go to Lexmark's website and get the drivers from there.
