why does my screen go black when I try to connect to netflix

July 1, 2014 at 05:30:51
Specs: Windows 7
My samsung bluray was playing netflix until 2 days ago. Now when I click on the netflix icon the screen just goes blank. I cannot even return to the home menu. Have to shut the bluray player off and turn it on again. I've tried the other online options(ei youtube) and they work.

Samsung came out with a firmware update for that player roughly 2 months ago. I'd try that first. You can find the firmware and the instructions here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/o...

The netflix was if it was on my computer and the firmware is up to date on my bluray. Just tried netflix again and nothing. I have to shut my bluray off to even get to the home page.

No. No one seems to know anything. I reset my blu ray to factory settings and that didn't work. One site said it's the updates that Samsung has that blocks Netflix. Most sites tell you what to do if you get an error message, which I don't. I think I'll just get a usb cable and hook my laptop up to the bluray and try steaming it that way.
