Why are my available networks not showing?

Specs: Windows 7
There's a red x showing up in in my wireless settings on the taskbar, also under 'view your active networks' the local area & public networks is not showing. There's no list of available networks.

See More: Why are my available networks not showing?

Quite possibly your computer's wifi is switched off, especially as there is red X showing over it's icon on the taskbar?

Have clicked/right clicked on the icon to see if you can enable your computer's wifif?

And what make and model is the computer you to which you are referring?

What is the make and model number of your computer?

The other possibility is that the router has been switched off. Have you any other devices using the same router and if so are they going online OK?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
