Need correct dual band wireless adapter to use with emachines EL1333G-03W Does it take an internal card or use a USB?

I think this question would be best directed to the manufacturer's support people. Why don't you try there first and then check back here if you don't get an answer.

Personally I can't see there being any issue with using any number of interfaces but emachines is a "brand name" like Dell or HP and brand names can be, and frequently are, proprietary making that a hard question to answer without direct hands-on experience with the equipment in question (I have none) Ergo my suggestion to contact the OEM.

The eMachines EL1333G-03w is fairly old & the specs are less than impressive.

The type of wireless adapter to get is up to you. The board has a PCIe x1 slot available or plenty of USB2.0 ports.

You'd be best getting an external USB WiFi adapter because most internal WiFi cards these days require a PCIe x16 slot (for fast data throughput) which that PC model doesn't have.
