You need an ADSL wireless / wired Router which will allow you to connect more than one PC to your DSL.

I would recommend an ADSL wireless router to give you freedom with your laptop.
Additionally go for an 802.11n standard router as it is the fastest and latest version available.

If you laptop has a built in wireless card then you do not need anything else. If not then you will need a wireless USB adapter to allow your laptop to connect wirelessly to the router.

As wireless routers also normally have 4 wired ports you can connect your PC to one of the wired ports. For that you will need an RJ45 cable long enough to connect between where you site your router to the back of your PC (Ethernet/LAN port).

If this distance between the router and PC is long and you do not want wires trailing everywhere then you can also use a wireless USB adapter to connect the PC wirelessly to the router.

Note - Older and slower versions of routers are classified as 802.11 a/b, 802.11c and 802.11g.

When everything else fails, read the instructions.
