Been using Peerblock to just see exactly who my IP info is sent to have noticed that every time I connect the first that pops up are Joe's Datacenter LLC and EasySpeedy ApS. Also MS Hotmail pops up occasionally. I thought Hotmail was shut down. I have searched for info on them but just find they are servers. I do not unblock them and the net still works so my question is what info are these sites collecting? And what exactly do they do if still blocked and all still works.

Most data collection is for marketing purposes. If you use firefox with nocript, you can see a list if sites when you click the options button. That will give you an idea of who is watching.

OK so if I use Peerblock and noscript together that blocks them. But what exactly does blocking the IP address do? Are they able to collect marketing info if Peerblock is working?

I can't say how good any of the blocks are. I'm sure that it's none of them are 100% effective.
