Solved Websites related to Google not working

November 15, 2014 at 14:37:14
Specs: Windows 7
Google, YouTube, Gmail, etc are timing out. I tried resetting everything (router, pc, ipconfig commands) to no avail. Other websites work normally. Tried a different browser (ie) and a different device (iphone) and nothing. This is a really weird issue, and I couldn't find help online. If it helps, I'm Brazilian and have decent (50mbps down, 5mbps up) internet speed. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this problem began to happen in the morning (about 9 hours ago). Also, my pc is a Windows 7 64-bit and my phone is an iPhone 5s updated.

✔ Best Answer
Check your router's firewall for anything Google being blocked.
Try iPhone on another network (coffee shop, etc), to be sure it is on your network.
Contact your ISP to be sure that they are not having any trouble.
Please list your network set up (just modem and wireless router or a more complicated set up) and router make/model for more specific help.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for the reply. My setup is just modem+router. How do I check my router's firewall (sorry if it's a dumb question, I still have a LOT to learn about computers lol)?
EDIT: Google and youtube's main pages are now loading (kinda, thumbnails missing), but still can't search for anything or watch any videos. Maybe it's a problem with my ISP? I'll call them when possible and post the results.

Nevermind, the problem went away on its own... I guess that means it was probably my ISP, right?
