There most likely isn't any thing wrong with the router. Do you know the wireless encryption level and passcode? These are key to getting connected.

Do you know how to configure a router? Been in one before?

Yes I have the passcode, but i dont get the option of typing it in, and well I have seen someone cofigure a router before but i have never done it myself, is there something else I can do to try to get connected. The windows report shows a problem like trying to connect to a "security enabled" network.

" i dont get the option of typing it in"

Nothing needs to change on the router. You just need to configure your wireless access. What is your laptop using for wireless? Builtin?

If so you should have a wireless program. This will allow you to setup a profile that should connect you to the wireless anytime its in range. In configuring the profile you input the passphrase and level of encryption.

BTW nothing wrong with the router but if you id your router and then go online you can find the routers manual. Just follow the instructions [easier then building a bike] and you will do fine.
