Verizon FiOS Internet speed 50/50 or 25/25

Specs: Windows 7, 512
I have Verizon Fios and I'm paying for 50/50 internet speed. When I do speed test via wireless on my devices (which are kinda old) I might get 20/20. Does it make sense to pay for 50/50 when I never see it on my computers? If I reduce to 25/25 will I still get 20/20 on my devices? Or does it help to push the the 50/50 ?

If you are on Wifi then try plugging into the router with a Cat5 cable and see what you get. If you don't get full speed then, contact Verizon and have them send a tech out to find out what the problem is. If the problem is with the Wifi only then you can get a new NIC card for a desktop or a USB NIC stick for a laptop to see full speed that way (I assume that you are using Verizon's router), neither is very expensive. They should deliver what you are paying for so if the issue is with their hardware, let them fix it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I'm running a lot of devices via WIFI maybe 10 at any one time. This computer ran 65/62 when plugged in directly to the Verizon router. My iPhone 6 will run 50/50 if I stand right beside the router. My question is if I reduce the speed from 50/50 to 25/25 will I see reduced speed on those wireless devices that are running less than 25/25 now. An oh ya I also have a Netgear WIFI extender that my main computer run off of.

Seems like your problems are with the wireless, not FiOS.
