VAIO Netwbook - Wireless capability is turned

Specs: Windows 7 starter
Vaio netbook - was working fine suddenly giving me 'Wireless capability is turned off' and no networks available. Wireless network driver for 802.11n Wireless LAN Card seems to be working fine! i tried to uninstall and boot. System installed again on reboot but to no avail.

Has it been accidentally turned off? There will be either an actual switch or a combination of pressing the Fn key and one of the F keys. All laptops have the facility to switch off the wireless network adapter in case you want to take it on board an aircraft.

The problem was a switch in front. Could not see it since it is slightly underneath. Thanks.
