use bluetooth over my home network

Specs: Windows 7
I have a Solar panel system. The Inverter in the system has blue tooth to read data from the system. Because of the location of the inverter in my garage I cannot read this data on my PC, but I can from my laptop when I am in the garage. I have a Home network connected through the house wiring using Home Plugs. Is there any way I can utilize my home network to access the Bluetooth Data? What equipment would I have to buy to enable this if it is at all possible?

You would setup a old pc with bluetooth to read the data in the garage. You would remote desktop to that pc to see it from else where in the house.

A bluetooth repeater might solve your problem. It takes the signal from a distance and re-broadcasts it. Do a Google search for bluetooth repeater and will get a list of companies that sell them.

They also make bluetooth to WiFi devices that might suit your needs. Google bluetooth to WiFi converter.
