Hi,
I have a Aztech 605EW , ADSL2+ Wireless Modem. I used to have a DSL connection. Now I have switched to a cable modem. The cable company has given me a Scientific Atlanta VOIP Modem.

The cable modem has connection for Ethernet and USB.
I want to connect the cable modem with Aztech modem and use 2-3 computers on wireless.
If I use 2 computers via ethernet cable only one can connect to internet.
I asked my cable operator and he said I can connect as many computers on wireless as i want, however he is not cooperative on how to do it.

He just said if your router has Wide Area Network option you can do it.

Please help.

You may be able to setup a wireless network with the Aztec unit as it's a combo unit (ie: combination modem and SOHO router with wireless)

Click on my name on my reply above and on the page that opens look for my "howto" guide on adding a second router. You'll want to go with a LAN port to LAN port connection scenario with the Aztec as the 2nd (downstream) router.

Once you have that working and wired connections can access the internet, then setup the wireless. Don't forget to use encryption and a password on the SSID.

Is the new cable modem also a combo unit with a built in SOHO Router?

If it is, try disabling DHCP on it and enabling it on the Aztec with the same scope defined as what's on the cable modem.

This is a screenshot when the cable modem was directly connected to the computer via ethernet cable.
