Unable to connect to server.

Specs: Windows XP
Hello,
Yesterday my server that was set up for me was working fine with no problems. Today i come into work and am now having trouble with one particular computer. I try to connect to the server and the login comes up as usual, however when i enter the username and password nothing happens at all, im just returned to the login screen again with no error. Everything is connected properly, im running windows xp connecting to windows server 2003. Also, i can access the shared folders on the network however i cannot login meaning i cant access things like my mailbox on Outlook. Im not very technical so your patience is appreciated, i would like to avoid paying a ton to get someone out to look at this. Thanks in advance

Did you reboot the workstation? Look for errors in the event viewer on both the workstation & the server.

Yes ive rebooted several times with no luck. Also no errors showing up in the event viewer.

Ok, are you able to ping the server from the one workstation?

If yes, then it would seem to be an authentication issue. Do you have a user account for the aforementioned problem computer created on the server and added to the ACL for the share? If not, or if you set the wrong permissions on the account, this could happen.
