Trouble connecting to wireless capability??

Specs: Windows 7
Product: HP Pavillion dv6500
s/n: CNF7224hq1

At the time of purchase it was running WINDOWS Vista Home Premium. I have just upgraded to WINDOWS 7 Home Premium in the last week.

My issue is now I have problems connecting to my wireless internet & wireless printer. I've reloaded my wireless router (D-LINK series - Di-524) with no success. The following message keeps appearing: turn on wireless capability.

I'm about to do an uninstall/reinstall with my Brother MFCC-6490CW printer to see if this fixes the problem.

Any advise would be appreciated....cheers.

Did you install Win7 as an over-the-top upgrade or was it a clean install? It is the wireless network card in the PC that is giving you grief rather than the router or printer.
You may need to obtain and install Win7 drivers for the network card before you can re-establish contact with the other devices. If you did an over-the-top upgrade install then it is possivle the Vista drivers are ok in Win7 but the wireless has been disabled during the upgrade. Your PC documentation should contain instructions on how to turn the wireless back on.
