I just purchased a new Lenovo Think Pad note book and want to transfer programmes and files from my Dell (using Vista) to the Lenovo (using Windows 7). I purchased an (Easy Transfer) cable but the Vista programme sees it and installs it but the windows 7 does not. What can I do to transfer the software programmes and files please?
Also tried external 80 gig hard drive and that does not work either.
Programs don't transfer. You need to install them in the new PC. Do you have the install media for the programs?
