the network cable can't fit in its LAN socket

Specs: Windows 7
i've recently buy Toshiba mini NB505,simply my network cable(that connects me perfectly to the net through my other HP netbook)can't fit in its socket and a message pops up when pressign connect(connecting through WAN miniport PPPOE),is it a hardware problem or there might be a smaller network cable for notebook?thank you

If the network cable you are trying to use is an RJ-45, then there should be no reason it can't fit

The fact that it doesn't makes me wonder if you are actually using an RJ-45 cable or if your netbook doesn't have that port (Which would surprise me)

thank you for your seems that the socket is not functioning well,i shall return this netbook back to the vendor to replace it.i use RJ-45 cable and answering your question,yes it can't fit in the Ethernet socket.
