suposed to be a cable unpluged in local area

Specs: Windows XP
RE: Local area conection says there is a network cable unpluged. There are non unpluged. should I just leave it be ? My computer is working fine========Thanks========Margaret

Well if it's working then I wouldn't worry about it, but just at a guess are you using a laptop connected wirelessly? in which case the LAN cable connection icon (looks like two monitor screens) would say there's a cable unplugged, simply because that is the case.
