subdomains with 1 server

Microsoft Windows server 2003 enterprise

Specs: Windows Server 2003
Hey,

I have 1 server with one external IP address. I just purchased a URL with DynDNS and I added a wildcard hostname to it so it will send everything to my server. The thing is, I have Kerio mail server and IIS. With both of these there are servers on ports 80 and ports 443. I have two NICs, so I can set kerio to only accept requests from 1 NIC and set IIS to accept requests on the other. But how do I make it so that kerio is on a subdomain. For example: if a user went to example.com it would go to my IIS site on port 80 but if they typed in mail.example.com, it would go to the kerio site on port 80.

Thanks

You would need to setup port forwarding on your NAT router. I presume this is what you are using?

For example:

On your server:
NIC#1: 192.168.0.10
NIC#2: 192.168.0.11

On your router:
forward port 80 to 192.168.0.10
forward port 443 to 192.168.0.10
forward port 25 to 192.168.0.11

Hope this helps.

Dean Spencer.
