Read the manual/setup guide. It will detail how to reset the unit to factory defaults.

Typically it's one of two ways:
1) Press and hold the reset button and power the unit on. After about 10 seconds, release the button
or
2) With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.

To restart it, unplug it from the mains supply, then plug it back in.

To reset it, leave it switched on and push a straightened paper clip into the small reset hole on the back for 5 seconds.

If you reset it, it will revert to factory settings and passwords, all user changes are lost.

Restarting it will not do that.

Hi midosoft,

You can open the router page on the browser.

Put the default username and password(Depends on the model).

Select Settings or maintenance > restart or reset the router.

Let us know the model of the router so that we can help you in a better way.

Thanks & Regards

Have you ever backed up the settings - it's on the list?

If so you can restore the settings from the file you saved.

Unplugging from the power for a while then starting it again will restart it without resetting it to defaults. It might take a few minutes before it works again.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
