signal ok wireless connection not

Specs: Windows 7
I have a netgear router with dhcp enabled
router 2 a linksys cabled to router one with a static address. (192.168.1.10 on second router linksys)
access point upstairs internet address 172.1.1.1.
will this work? have broadband

Sorry, you need to better explain your network setup. Broadband connection to modem. Modem to which router? why two routers? Are you trying to set up two separate subnets or to extend the LAN and provide stronger wireless signal to several different levels?

trying to get a better signal. first router netgear is connectd to modem with dhcp enabled, second router 15 feet away static cabled to first router.
In attic there is a wireless access point.
above attic trying to get a signal.
goes from inside attic to reach other building 10feet away
signal but not great can connect but not great.
too many routers?

all have same ssid. different channels
one router has a ip of 172.1.1.1
all others have 192.168.1.whatever
