Sharing Wireless network through ad-hoc

May 10, 2010 at 23:33:20
Specs: Windows 7
I have an access point that I get internet from for my computer, but my Nintendo DS doesn't work on this network. What I want to try and do is connect my computer to the wireless network and at the same time set up an ad-hoc network to share it with my DS. Is this or anything similar to this possible? and if so, how?

It is possible but you would need a second Wireless Network interface in the computer that connects the the Access Point. You cannot use the same interface for the access point and Ad-Hoc at the same time. You would then need to configure Internet Connection Sharing on the computer and bridge the two wireless interfaces. All a bit complicated.

Better to find out why the Nintendo wont connect to the Access Point and if necessary, change the configuration so both the Nintendo and the Computer can connect.
