Solved sharing private folders on the network

Specs: winxpsp2, pentium dc e7200 2.53ghz,2gb corsair ddr2

super basic question, i have a small xp based ethernet network, i want to back up account PCs data on another pcs shared folder, problem is every other user (on the network) can also access this share,

whats the simplest way around this problem so only one particular user can access that share.

layman terms would be great

create a new share. only give the person access to it

Set permissions on the folder to make it only accessible by the person you want, When you create a shared folder permissions are automatically set to everyone.

This will give you the details of how to doi it:

If you are using Windows XP Home the instructions detailed above have to be done in Safe mode.
