You would have the other computer connect wirelessly or wired to the router.

First Thanks for you....

no i need to connect wirelessly actually i need to connect many devices like a dsi a cell phone... so it's really a wireless connect what a i need...

as my need is to share my internet connection that i have it with my usb modem...and as it's connected to my laptop (windows vista) and as i have a wireless ethernet on it so i create a wireless ad hoc connection and everything is ok so i create a wireless network between my laptop and my cell phone (who have a wireless connection too) but the problem is "limited connectivity"...so i have a real wireless network but without internet access...

I am not understanding from your decription why you are not connecting these wifi devices to the wireless router.

You can not make a ad-hoc wireless network between multiple wireless devices.

You could take another wireless router and use it not as a router [only connect via lan port not wan port] but as a wireless switch but this requires you connect wired to it not wirelessly.

Alternately you could consider a wireless bridge unit but that may get messy with wifi connections to it and then using your wireless connection to it for internet access.

if the mobile phone can connect to wireless networks for internet access then the same would be true for you connecting such to a wireless router.

traditional setup is as follows:

internet<>modem<>router<>attached devices [wheither wired or wireless]

So in an attempt to answer your question I would say if you have a usb modem then you will need a router with a usb wan port.

i complete searching since my last reply to you...yes i think there is no other way to do it.... i mean as you said i should have a wireless router with usb lan...and that's my problem my wireless router doesn't have such port...so you think it's impossible with my router ? and by the way there is any adapter from usb to lan ??
as i know i can find from lan to usb but not inverse i'm right ?

thanks again and again...

Hello Wanderer. What the other guy is saying is that his ONLY Internet source is a USB Modem (3G, WiMAX, etc). He does not have a Cable, DSL, etc, therefore he cannot connect the router to an internet source (WAN). His WAN is the USB Modem. Now, having the USB Modem on his laptop, he wants to transmit Internet signal using his Laptops WiFi connection to his DSi, Cell, etc. In essence, his Laptop will become a Router.
