Share files with D-Link router different OS

Specs: Windows XP, Pentium D 2.67GHz / 1.50GB RAM
I want to share files between two computers in my household. One has Windows XP professional and the other has Windows Vista Home Premium. I have a D-Link DIR-300 wireless router, and I set up static IP's for each PC. Is there a detailed tutorial on how to do this? or is it simpler than I think?

Lots of "How to setup a home network" or "how to share files" tutorials out there on the web.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.

You wont find anything to explain the different OS situation because it is irrelevant, it doesn't matter. Even less so as they are both Windows but it would be no different if one were Windows and the other were Linux. You set up each computer according to the OS you are running ans the network hardware does all the hard work.
