Good Morning all

I am looking to install operating systems (XP/Vista/7) via PXE boot using MDT.
What i do not understand is how to setup my Windows 7 machine as the PXE boot server, would anyone be able to shed some light on this for me?

Kind Regards
Tor Fey

You cannot. You need Windows Server 2008.

Windows 7 in all its variations is a Client Operating System, not a Server.

I have done this before so that I could load a Toshiba Protege that didn't recolonize any of my external optical drives. You only need a server if you do it the Microsoft way, but there are third party apps out there to make it easy on any windows 7 machine.
