✔ Best Answer
Server did run chkdsk upon boot up?

sounds like the servers nic got fried.

usual solution is disable the onboard nic and install a addin card.

The server should have been on a smart ups as well as having the network cables going thru a surge protector.

Something to consider in the future.

Have you tried plugging a laptop into the same switchport that the server was using? If it doesn't work, then maybe the switchport got fried. If it does, then I'd agree with #1.

Hi thanks for comments
I did that hollowman512 comment and the switch port is working I checked with a laptop then the problem is in the server. In relation to wanderer's question, yes the chkdsk seems to run at boot moment. Finnally, complete agreee in the future to have an ups.
Other idea? please

if the nic is fried you have to get another one.
