Hey all, not sure if I have posted in the right spot but I just need a little bit of help as im not too confident with using windows server yet.
I have just reformatted my server machine and it is running Windows Server 2003 Small Business. My problem is that I can't get any of my Clients (Win XP Pro) to join it. I have it set up how I used to the only difference is that I am wanting to use our Modem/Router as the DHCP/DNS instead of the server, I have researched everything and it has all pointed to this issue.
I was wondering if someone could explain it all simply to me on how (If possible) I could be able to connect my clients to my Domain Controller and still use the Modem/Router as the DNS/DHCP.
If so, how? (Step by step for the stupid one ((Me)) )Thank you in advance

If yes, change that to the IP of your 2003 server and then forward the DNS on your server to the ISP's DNS server(s).
In an Active Directory domain, clients need to authenticate to the server itself and that requires them to have the server's IP as their DNS setting.
