Hello,

Just for a backup, I connected my telephone line directly to my Routing and Remote Access. Now, from outside, if anyone calls, the Server picks up after 2 rings. Now, this is a problem with both people trying to call in and also when a computer that is trying to dial in, but then someone who answers the phone will disrupt the communication between the client and the server.

Now, here is my intention. I want a 56k client to connect to it by dialing Phone Number, but its also our normal telephone line. Now, I know that there is a way of like dialing in the number, then dialing an extra extension number to make the server answer the phone.

How do I do this?

Sorry. Doesn't work like that. What you describe is a feature of a phone system [PBX]. You don't have one.

If you want that kind of backup you need to get another line/telephone number installed.
