not working - Help

Specs: Windows 7
Whenever i try to access the Netgear Router Login Page then it shows an error message that I have refused to connect. I have tried to open the webpage by using the default IP address and also clear the history of the browser but i didn't connect with the router. Can anyone please suggest me the idea to fix this issue.

Which model Netgear?

Is this a new (to you at least) router and you're trying to set it up etc.; or has it been up and running ok until now; that you "could" previously login to admin pages?

Which ip address are you using?

Are you connecting to the router via ethernet to the computer; or via wifi?

Is the computer you're using connected to the network physically (ie; plugged in to the router with a network cable) or is it connected to wifi?

A lot of routers do not allow you to connect to the administrative interface from a wireless connection. If you hare connected to wifi, try plugging into the router with a network cable and then connect to the admin interface.
