October 2, 2017 at 10:17:22
Specs: Windows 10
I'm trying to make a minecraft server for me and my friends to play on, but I can't log into my router.
I've used the website www.portforward.com and it says the default username and password. Doesn't work. any idéa of how to fix it?

NOTE: I'm not going to reset my router.

Look for a label on the back or underside of the router.

The address is probably http://192.168.1.1
Username & password is probably admin for both.

The usual default is admin for both; or administrator.

Have you ever changed the default details for accessing the router setup?

Even though you say don't want to... you may find it necessary to reset the router to factory state as delivered. There is usually a wee hole on the back plate into which you insert a paper clip and press and hold for typically 10seconds. After which the default login details ought to work.

The router manufactures generally recommend changing the user name and password and writing them on the inside of the cover of the instruction manual or install guide. If you can find it you might have done just that and you might find it there.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

" I'm not going to reset my router"
But you could try turning its power off for about half a minute then on again.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
